Introducing Scentient Media Player

We are delighted to announce that Scentient, a pioneering company at the forefront of scent-enhanced media experiences, has recently received funding from the New Anglia Growth Through Innovation Fund. This funding marks a significant milestone for Scentient as it enables us to develop our Scentient Media Player VR app, revolutionising the way users interact with virtual reality content.

Virtual reality (VR) has opened up endless possibilities for immersive experiences, transporting users to new worlds and providing a unique sense of presence. At Scentient, we believe that enhancing these virtual experiences with scents can take immersion to an entirely new level, stimulating multiple senses simultaneously and creating a truly memorable encounter.

Thanks to the support from the New Anglia Growth Through Innovation Fund, the Scentient Media Player will integrate seamlessly with popular VR headsets, offering users an unprecedented sensory experience by enabling them to explore scent-enhanced virtual environments.

The Scentient Media Player works by connecting the VR headset to our Escents device via Bluetooth. The Escents device, developed by Scentient, is designed to emit scents based on the content being viewed, synchronised with the user's virtual reality experience. By incorporating the power of scent, users will be able to fully immerse themselves in a multisensory world, enhancing the realism and emotional impact of the media they are consuming.
