Scentient smart pods are magnetically inserted into the Escents and automatically detected and recognised by the device.
All 6 pods would last up to 50 hours of use in an experience. The user will be notified when a pod is running low by a continuously flashing a light next to it.
Switching the pods takes seconds and the Escents is ready to take the next user on the scent journey.

Yes, you can send us your own scents to be used with Escents. This is subject to testing & documentation fee to make sure they work correctly with the system.
We also source or develop scents for applications ranging from emergency-services training and environmental simulation to museums, entertainment and immersive experiences.

No. Technical support for using and integrating Scentient hardware is included with the device.
If you want us to make creative or experiential decisions as well, for example choosing the scents or designing how smell should be used throughout an experience, that falls under Scentient Studio's design services.

No. Escents is designed to be integrated by external development, research and production teams. The design sessions are there if you want additional expertise in how smell itself should be used.

Escents is our most versatile device, but it is not always the optimal one.
The underlying Scentient technology is highly modular. Through Scentient Studio, we can adapt it into hardware designed around a particular installation or product, whether that means integrating smell into a museum exhibit, a theme-park seat, furniture, a handheld object or another piece of equipment.
That can range from a one-off prototype to a manufacturable system intended for deployment across multiple locations.
